James is a programmer, web designer, artist and luthier from Detroit, Michigan.
His work focuses on creating open-ended structures for play through music, video games, & narrative world building.
After completing his undergraduate studies in Art History & Art Practice at Stanford University, James taught sixth grade English for two years in Fall River, MA, and fifth & sixth grade art for a year in Boston, MA.
During this time he also completed a Master's Degree in Education at Boston University. James completed his MFA at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2016 and founded Fat Blueberry Games to turn his thesis into a complete video game for commercial release.
